Cynternet (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Cynternet job management platform (the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our Platform, create an account, apply for jobs, or post job listings.

By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Registration: Full name, email address, phone number, password (stored in hashed form), and account type (Job Seeker, Recruiter, or Admin).
  • Job Seeker Profile: Resume/CV, work experience, education history, skills, certifications, profile photograph, portfolio links, expected salary, and preferred job locations.
  • Recruiter & Employer Information: Company name, company description, company logo, industry, company size, office locations, website URL, and contact details.
  • Job Postings: Job title, description, requirements, compensation range, benefits, employment type, and location details.
  • Job Applications: Cover letters, application responses, and any additional documents you submit.
  • Communications: Messages, support inquiries, feedback, and any content you send to us or other users through the Platform.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device & Browser Data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and language preference.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, search queries, job views, click patterns, time spent on pages, referring URLs, and navigation paths.
  • Cookies & Similar Technologies: Session cookies for authentication, preference cookies, and analytics cookies. See Section 8 for details.
  • Log Data: Server logs including access times, error logs, and API request metadata.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • If you sign in through a third-party authentication provider, we may receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider.
  • Employers may provide feedback or status updates on your applications.

  • Enforce our Terms & Conditions and other policies.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Employers: When you apply for a job, the employer will receive your application details, profile information, resume, and any documents you submit.
  • With Job Seekers: Employers’ company profiles and job posting details are visible to job seekers browsing the Platform.
  • Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party providers for hosting (cloud infrastructure), email delivery, file storage, analytics, and content delivery. These providers process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information for other purposes when you provide explicit consent.

4. Data Storage & Security

  • Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL).
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt algorithms and are never stored in plain text.
